Well, the good thing is that I am slowly progressing through the book. I am now able to see a song and play it within a 15 minute period, not perfectly of course but that's just fine with me. I am having a little trouble with left hand and the C and G7 chords but that will all shake out with practice!

Great, I'm glad you feel your progression. One trick to get the left hand feeling a bit more normal is to start your practice with the left hand- practice each piece left hand first, then add in the right hand. The extra time with your left hand won't make you a lefty, but it will help!
